Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about generating ASCII art online
Do I need to sign up or log in to use this tool?
No. All QuickTextTools are completely free to use online with no login, signup, or account required.
What characters are supported?
The generator supports all 26 English letters (A–Z, case-insensitive), digits 0–9, and common punctuation including ! ? . , - + # @. Unsupported characters are rendered as blank spaces.
What is the difference between the style options?
The style controls which character fills each pixel of the letter. Block (█) gives a solid look, Hash (#) gives a retro terminal feel, Star (*) suits banners, and so on. All styles share the same letter shapes — only the fill character changes.
What does the Normal / Large size toggle do?
Normal (1×) renders each pixel as a single character, giving compact 5-row-tall letters. Large (2×) doubles both the width and height of every pixel, producing bolder 10-row-tall letters ideal for banners, headers, and posters.
Can I paste the ASCII art into Discord, Reddit, or a README?
Yes. Copy the output and paste it anywhere that renders monospace or plain text — Discord, Reddit, GitHub README files, terminal emulators, code editors, or ASCII art communities. Results look best in monospace fonts.
Is any data sent to a server?
No. All ASCII art generation happens entirely in your browser using a built-in pixel font renderer. Your text never leaves your device and is never stored or transmitted anywhere.
